War Story
Wannabe pros will flame you when you try a Fast Castle on arabia, but it’s a tactic that can work, just like any other tactic. You just need to judge the situation well and keep cool. Besides that it must be noted that Jordan was so secure about flush beating a fast castle that he probably didn’t push that hard in feudal.
The game comes from a pack where Jordan and Daut play some just-for-fun games. Finally seeing some non traditional hunwars is a true relief in that perspective. Daut started out with a traditional FC buildup. Well, not 100% traditional, he mined some stone early to make sure he could afford 1 TC and 1 tower in early castle. Which eventually saved his Serbian ass. Jordan picked a skirm/archer flush and used some towers to disturb Daut’s economy. At first this made Daut look very bad as half of his farms and his main goldpile were disfunctional now. Once in the castle age, Daut ran half of his economy to a gold mine close to Jordan’s town. It was the first unoccupied gold mine he ran into and he built a TC next to it. Once gold started to come in, he made Cavalry Archers and started to raid Jordan’s economy. Jordan had a much larger army but with some good raiding and some wise decisions on which battles to fight and which to avoid, he forced Jordan on his knees.
Later in the pack, Jordan kept mentioning this game as he couldn’t believe he lost to a FC.
